Our experience of COMAH sites
The Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations ensure that businesses:
- Take all necessary measures to prevent major accidents involving dangerous substances
- Limit the consequences to people and the environment of any major accidents which do occur
A key implication of COMAH Regulations is that businesses must consider the competence of the contractor appointed to carry out a particular task.
Roperhurst are plastics specialists. We have been installing tanks, ductwork and pipework into a number of COMAH sites for many years. Our plastic ductwork is fabricated and installed to DW154, and we have fabricated tanks to BS4994: Category 1. Many people say they can install plastic - far fewer have the competence to do so to the standard required. If in doubt, speak to a specialist.
For more information on COMAH, please refer to the HSE's website.
