Roperhurst has completed a major installation of fire retardant polypropylene (PPs) ductwork into Swansea University’s new bay campus.
18no ground floor fume cupboards, plus gas stores and chemical cabinets are ducted via rectangular fabricated and circular PPs ductwork through risers to plant areas on the flat roof above.
Ductwork sizes ranged from 450mm diameter to 110mm diameter, as well as rectangular fabricated sections as required to co-ordinate with other services. Roperhurst also supplied 12no 3ph centrifugal polypropylene fan units.
