Roperhurst has been awarded accreditation from safecontractor for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.

safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.

Emcor last week announced it was pulling out of the UK construction market to focus on facilities management services, and now outsourcing giant Mitie is quitting the M&E market.

West Midlands M&E firm Farrelly Building Services also entered administration on 14 May.  The company, which has been trading since 1995, worked for clients such as Asda and Hilton hotels, and had a framework agreement with Interserve/PriDE for Ministry of Defence projects.

Angel Ramos, a graduate chemical engineer with a Masters Degree in Water Technology and Management, joined Roperhurst in April as Project Engineer.

Angel's career to date has included project engineering roles with Aguambiente SL and Acciona Agua, focusing on water purification and waste water treatment.

South Wales based Roperhurst has seen a surge in demand for PVC ductwork in 2013.  MD Bob Lane said "We have seen a large number of enquiries for circular and rectangular PVC ductwork and fittings, as well as similar PPS fabrications.  Customers are particularly reassured that we can fabricate to DW154, and the fact that they ask shows that customers are becoming much more savvy about standards."

Roperhurst have completed our most recent installation of a salt saturator, dust arrestor tank and associated pipework into a large industrial site in South Wales.

Roperhurst is in the final stages of a project to fabricate and install a series of PVC/GRP vessels built to BS4994 Category 1.
